Life has been getting in the way lately. I have just been taking a break from most of my social media accounts (even my personal ones). I have just had a lot of things come up and have also been wanting to live in the moment.

I know I was going to post a 4th of July outfit but since I live in the nations capital (Washington, DC), there were tons of crowds and people around during that weekend. So instead, I come to you today to post about recycling old outfit.
I know I’m not the only who likes to get the most out of the clothes I buy. I like to buy things that I can use for years and will not look dated or out of place in my current wardrobe. One of these outfits that I like to go back too is this dress from H&M. I posted about it last year but I couldn’t pass up a good opportunity to show you again.
I wore this for a date night with my boyfriend. We went walking around the city and ended up at the waterfront in Georgetown. Honestly this is one of the perfect summer dresses for me. It allows me to be able to dress it up or down with what accessories I throw in. If i wanted to make it dressier I could always throw on a thin metal belt around the waist and wedges.
I hope this inspires you to keep around some of the pieces that you love throughout multiple years instead of always buying new staples. Even if you work in the fashion industry, you don’t always need to have the latest. Keep in mind that it’s your style and no one else’s.
What are some pieces that you have kept through out the years and still wear?
