Well it’s officially the start of the holiday season. This has to be my most favorite time of year. I love the feeling that this season brings with happiness and cheer (yes that is out of a song).
I decided to round up some of my essentials for fashion and beauty. I have so many essentials and things that I wanted to included, but I restrained myself and only included 12.
Lip Color is a key part in the winter festivities. You can go bold (shade: C404 Passion Red) or subtle (shade: 43 Pretty Natural). I feel that sometimes it just ties the whole outfit together.
The eyes are the window to the soul, right? So why not have great colored curtains? I love eyeshadow. It might be my favorite part of make up (well when I have time to use it). I think eyeshadow change change the whole tone of the look you are going for. You can go smokey, sexy, sweet, natural, basic, etc. There are just so many choices. During the winter I tend to go for gold (shade: Gold Bar) for a main color and then a more reddish brown (shade: Blazing) as an accent.
To round out the eyes you, it’s always great to do a wing the top and half liner on the bottom.
Jewelry is a great option to up an outfit. You can do a subtle piece or bold. I prefer subtle a subtle necklace and earrings because then I am sure they will go with anything.
Another great option to spice up an outfit is a purse. I prefer wristlets during this time of year because then it looks dressy but you can still hold on to it.
It does get cold during the winter and the cute dresses are normally short so tights are a key. I like the ones that stand out a little so that they aren’t as plain.
Shoes are a great way to tie an outfit together. I prefer to wear heels when dressing up for an event. I also like boots during this time of year of more casual outings.
Its the time of year for parties, whether it is a family get together or a New Year’s Eve bash. I prefer to wear dresses or skirts during these parties. I am one of those people that will dress up whenever they get the chance or the slightest chance.
For more casual outings or get togethers, I love a festive sweater and jeans combo. It makes it look more put together then a t-shirt. Plus, who can say no to a nice sweater on a cold winter day/night.
It gets cold in the winter time (well in most places) so what is better than throwing on a blazer to spice up an outfit and give you a little warmth.
I hope you were able to get some inspiration from this post. I feel with these items, you can mix and match and just have fun.
