Beauty Q & A | August 2018
It has been raining a lot here lately and that makes me think that is the perfect time to do a tag post. I haven’t done one in a while and I thought that it would be a good way to see my thoughts on some beauty topics.
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging right after I graduated college. I was still trying to find a job and I wanted a creative outlet. I had always wanted to start a blog but never thought that I could do it.
Top 5 favorite beauty blogger or YouTuber?
Oh wow putting me on the spot here. Favorite blogger is Carly (Carly the Prepster). My favorite YouTubers are Jessica (JAMbeauty89), Casey (itsbl0ndie), Taylor (Thataylaa), Suzie (HelloOctoberxo), and Amelia (amelialiana).
Favorite High-end and Drugstore Brands (Makeup and Skincare)
Favorite skincare brands would be Neutrogena and First Aid Beauty
Favorite makeup brands would be L’Oreal and Marc Jacobs or Bite Beauty (I haven’t tried that much high-end)
What are 5 things that you are wishing for right now (makeup or skincare)?
Top Things that I’m wishing for right now in skincare are:
1. Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm

Top Things that I’m wishing for in makeup right now are:
1. Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Sugarcane (well the reds look amazing too)
2. Tarte Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara
3. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Vanilla Quartz (Mainly for the shade not formula)
4. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer in Milk Chocolate
5. Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer in Very Fair

Favorite makeup trend and one you wish would end
I think my favorite makeup trend right now is having a natural look (mainly because I am not one to go full glam everyday).
One that I wish would end is the highlight your cupids bow. It just looks weird to me.
What brand have you always wanted to try but haven’t? (Makeup and Skincare)
One brand of makeup that I have really want to try more of is Tarte. I’ve only tried a blush that was in a birthday gift from Sephora.
One brand of skincare that I have really want to try is more of First Aid Beauty. The only thing that I’ve tried from them is their Face Cleanser.
You have 5 minutes to leave the house, what makeup do you have to have on before leaving?
If I only had 5 minutes until I had to leave, I would just leave without putting on makeup. If I really had to put on makeup. I would use concealer, pressed powder foundation, and mascara.
If you could work with any brand, which one would it be? (Makeup and Skincare)
If I could work with any makeup brand it would be L’Oreal.
If I could work with any skincare brand it would be The Body Shop.
What are the 2 most important products? (Makeup and Skincare)
The two most important products for makeup is concealer and mascara.
For skincare it is a face cleanser and moisturizer.
Do you wear fake eyelashes?
No. They freak me out because I’m afraid that they are going to rip out my natural lashes.
Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found it yet?
My perfect mascara would give me volume and length. I haven’t found the perfect one yet.
What kind of coverage do you prefer for foundation?
I prefer medium coverage. I don’t like to feel like I have a mask on my face but I like to have coverage.
What type of product do you buy the most of?
I buy the most mascara because it goes bad the quickest.
Having a pamper evening, what does this consist of?
Normally it would involve have a nice face wash, a face mask (normally sheet mask), and some moisturizer.
Why do you love beauty?
I like how you can feel more alive. Whenever I put on makeup it is normally a way to feel more put together for the day or the time that I go out. I don’t wear makeup everyday but I like the feeling of taking my time to do my makeup.
