Beauty: Makeup Wishlist | February 2019

My wishlists are always growing. I try to keep my Pinterest board updated with my current wishlist but I don’t really explain why I want them over there.

I have been refining my lists through watching YouTube videos, reading blog posts, and keeping an eye on the new in sections. I wanted to round up some of things at the top of my wishlist for makeup items.

and woPrimers
Wet n Wild Photo Focus Water Drop Primer in Rose $5 – Water based primers are the best for my skin. I don’t like the feeling of slippery silicon as a primer. I’ve never found a water based primer in the drugstore before and would like to try one.
Wet n Wild Photo Focus Matte Primer Stick $5 – Primer sticks are very popular right now. I’ve tried the Maybelline one but I don’t think it does a lot in the field of smoothing pores. I’m hoping this one is a more smoothing and better at mattifying.
Essence All About Matt! T-Zone Primer Stick $5 – This primer stick also looks like a good option for smoothing and mattifying.

Foundation
L’Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear 24HR Foundation $15 – This foundation has been raved about lately. It looks like it is good for the majority of skin types.
ELF Flawless Finish Foundation $6 – ELF put some new shades in the line. I have wanted to try this foundation for a while and now I might.
Clinique Even Better Makeup $29 – This foundation looks like a good match for me. I heard that it gives a nice even natural look to the skin while also giving some coverage.
Ulta Moisturizing Foundation Stick $14 – I’ve heard one problem with stick foundations is that a lot of times, they look very dry even on oily skin. This foundation looks like it would be hydrating but also gives a natural natural look.

Cheeks
Ulta Flushed Blush $10 – These colors seem to look like a natural flush for a blush. I’m more into the subtle blushes instead of a punch of color on the cheeks.
MAC Powder Blush $24 – These have been raved about for so long and I have always eyed them since the colors seem pretty.
Make Up For Ever Artist Face Color Powder $23 – Making a 3 pan palette of all my cheek products would be very convenient. Having my highlighter, blush, and bronzer/contour in the same palette would be easy to use.
Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter in Pearl $11 – I have been loving my butter bronzer and would like to try some of the other items from the butter line. The highlighter seems to be a natural highlight.
Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Glow Highlighter in Moonbeam $11 – I’ve always wanted to try a cream highlighter but I’ve never found one in the drugstore that looked light enough for me.

Eyes
Wet n Wild MegaSlim Skinny Tip Eyeliner $5 – Liquid liner is hard. I have never been able to make it look right but I always like to try. I find small felt tip liners the best for learning since it gives more control.
Essence Long-Lasting Eye Pencil $2.50 – I rarely wear eyeliner and I’m not particularly good at applying it but I like to have some eyeliners on hand to test out looks. This one has good reviews and isn’t too expensive.

Lips
NYX Butter Gloss in Cherry Pie $5 – I love reds that stay put and are matte but sometimes I just need some moisture on top.
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Sheer in Rapture $19 – One of my favorite types of lip colors is a sheer mauve. It goes with everything and you don’t have to worry about it throughout the day.
L’Oreal Colour Riche Shine Lipstick in Varnished Rosewood $10 – This seems like a perfect everyday lipstick with just the right amount of shine and pigment.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick $8.50 – These lipsticks have been some of my favorites in the past and I would love to pick up some new shades and repurchase some old ones.
L’Oreal Rouge Signature Lightweight Matte Colored Ink in I Rule $12 – This formula seems like it would be long wearing and also comfortable. I would love to try one of the more natural shades for an everyday color.

What is on your makeup wishlist?
Is there something that you would recommend purchasing instead of something on my list?
