Mini Trip to Disney World| April 2019

A couple of weeks ago my boyfriend and I went to Disney World for 4 days. I know you’re thinking “Where are all the photos then?”, well, I didn’t take that many photos this time (if you want to see my 2017 trip, you can read that here and here). I went down there thinking, “I’m going to take outfit photos and scenic photos and have some good content to post for the first time in a while”.

The first day, we got down there early in the morning and our room wasn’t ready yet (so I wasn’t able to change out of my airplane outfit). We went down to Disney Springs to have some lunch at Blaze Pizza (one of the best pizza places) and then we headed straight to the Magic Kingdom Park.

We had our fast passes booked for (Thunder Mountain Railroad, Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train, and Space Mountain). We were celebrating our 2 year dating anniversary while we here. We planned a nice restaurant at Tony’s Town Square to celebrate. Tony’s was one of the best meals we had while there because of the amazing food and atmosphere (Lady and the Tramp Themed).

The second day we headed over to Epcot. We wanted to explore the world showcase and look at the scenic views of everything. We were going to eat at a restaurant in the France pavilion for lunch but decided to just eat around the Flower and Garden Festival booths (The Citrus Shortcake was the most memorable food). We went on Spaceship Earth and had a Fast Past for Test Track but unfortunately it went down during our return window. Disney alerted us and gave us a new fast pass that could be used on almost any ride! I really wanted to go on Soarin’ so we decided to use our new fast pass there.

Towards the end of the day my boyfriend hurt his foot (and it hurt for the rest of the trip) and we had more plans to go back to Magic Kingdom, but we decided to head back to the hotel to just rest for the night.

The third day we went to Hollywood Studios. The new Toy Story Land was one thing that we really wanted to see. My boyfriend’s favorite Pixar movie has been Toy Story and so he has been dreaming about this land since it was announced. We went during Magic Hours and the line wasn’t too long for Slinky Dog Dash. We only went on that ride before the wait times became to crazy, but I can’t wait to go on it again. I would say it is like Barnstormer or Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train in Magic Kingdom. It is an outside roller coaster that is fast but low excitement.

After Hollywood Studios we headed to Disney Springs to have lunch at the Boathouse. I got the lobster roll and he got the burger (who goes to a seafood restaurant and orders beef? But they are known for their burgers too).

Then we managed to get fast passes, day of, for 3 of our favorite rides (Thunder Mountain Railroad, Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train, and Splash Mountain) in Magic Kingdom.

The fourth day we went to Animal Kingdom. We really wanted to ride Pandora Flight of Passage and we found a fast past for it. It is one of my favorite rides in the parks, but I would not wait in a 3 hour line to ride it (I would book your fast passes ahead of your trip and make sure to plan your days for the rides that you want). Last time we rode it, we did wait 3 hours during Magic Hours, but since they have updated the seat vehicles, it is better than before. This was the main reason why we went to Animal Kingdom. There were so many rides, shows and activities we wanted to do in Animal Kingdom we wanted to do but really wanted to spend our last evening at Disney World in the Magic Kingdom.

So we headed out to Magic Kingdom. We managed to get fast passes for 2 of our favorite rides (Thunder Mountain Railroad and Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train) in Magic Kingdom. We had a really great experience during this trip. Some plans that we made for eating and rides changed but it made it a memorable experience.

I’m thinking about doing a separate post on tips and tricks for a trip to Disney World.
